ECHELON RECORDS

THE COMPANY

Echelon Records is an independent dance music label founded in April 2008 by artists Tempo Giusto & Ima'gin. The story of the label began when the two founders found it difficult to get their unusual and genre-evading tunes signed elsewhere. They decided to establish their own label as an outlet for their creative sound. The efforts paid off in an encouraging start for the label when the two debut releases were played by Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Sean Tyas, and Airbase among others, although no label had showed any interest in signing the same tracks earlier. Later releases have received support also from Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Roger Shah, Mark Sherry, Bobina, Sander van Doorn, TyDi, Blank & Jones, Mike Koglin, Marcus Schossow, Aly & Fila, not to mention a horde of smaller DJs.

Interest in the label with a different style started growing and soon Echelon was signing several new talents. Echelon's vision of great electronic music is a blend of timeless melodies, dynamic themes, and driving basslines combined with striking percussions - high voltage club progressive, of which some people already speak of as the "Echelon sound". Currently operating in London UK, Echelon Records releases top quality dance music, ranging from clubby tech sound to melodic trance and progressive, catering for DJs, clubbers, and other electronic music lovers alike. At Echelon Records we are always in search of fresh original sound - we don't pursue trends but release whatever we consider great music.

The main label Echelon releases a wide range of club music from driving progressive and melodic to psyish tech trance. After launching its uplifting sub-label White, the emphasis of the main label has shifted towards harder and deeper club sound. Echelon ends the year by releasing its Club Progressive series compilation, of which the first volume will be out this year 2009. Due to receiving so many uplifting trance demos but not having a suitable outlet for releasing them, there was a demand for a sub-label. In the 2009 summer, Echelon launched "White" which had its first release later the same year. White is focused solely on releasing uplifting, melodic trance, giving a nice contrast to the main label's darker sound. All the largest digital stores such as Beatport, Audiojelly, Trackitdown, iTunes and JunoDownload provide Echelon Record's catalog.
